Visor Card Copy
« on: Aug 14, 2017, 10:50:37 AM »
Here is a visor card I have modified to be almost the exact size found in the 1st gen originally.

However two notes: 1.) When printing make sure you print actual size in printer settings (FIT TO: using microsoft paint) and allow for a 1 1/4 inch margin on each side minimum. Depending on the preset left margin on your printer settings you should only have to change the left margin. The right margin will extend to the rest of a full page. When cutting out use a ruler to add 1 1/4 " on both sides of this print as this is how it is originally. You should have a measurement of 9 7/8" x 4 1/8" when finished., 2.) I laminated mine after printing and cutting out ( as mentioned in step 1)and used a thick stock paper and it slid right in replacing my yellowed, torn, and now cast to the dust bin of history old one.

EDIT: I added another visor card. The first (VisorCard85b) covers an 85 w/ one piece rear axle and just the steering drag link ends in front end. The second visor card (Visorcard.jpg) covers the two piece rear propeller shaft and Steering knuckles.

Just save to desktop and follow directions above.

Neat!  Think you could make one up for my fading emissions sticker under the hood in my 80?  I need to retain proof it's a non-catalytic model!

Take a picture with a ruler so scale can be determined..............

Not hard to do yourself. I like using Microsoft Paint program for this sort of thing as you can scale down the picture 1 pixel or 1 percent at a time. Just a few heads up, one mentioned in step one above.

After taking a clear picture from a straight on angle and opening in paint the first printing establishes how big it is. Just make sure to use "Adjust To" ( 100 %) not "Fit To" in Printer Set Up option. Also, I had to uncheck maintain aspect ratio to get correct otherwise any adjustment to reducing size effects both horizontal and vertical aspects.

To isolate the sticker in paint after taking a picture just use the "Select" option "Rectangular Selection", then "Copy" "Paste" new image before starting to reduce size to desired size.

If all that is too much for you just upload a picture here and I will do it for you, remember to give the size you want it at...
