Mint Condition 1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Turbo
112K Miles with Almost New 22R-E Engine and New W56-B Manual Transmission
We purchased this mint condition 1987 Toyota 4Runner SR5 Turbo earlier this year. I’ve looked and cannot find a nicer 1st Gen 4Runner than this anywhere in the country. If you are reading this post, you know this is a “unicorn” vehicle.
No rust, no leaks, no problems! Everything works as it was intended to or better than it did when it rolled off the factory floor 30-yrs ago. It’s a blast to drive, especially watching the SR5 Digital Dash and Turbo Gauge, with the Hard Top On or Off! Here are the specs:
Mileage: 112,489
Semi-Restoration: Motor and Transmission removed, full exterior paint to “Old Toyota White” with Silver SR5 Factory Decals, full undercarriage and frame paint and seal.
Engine: Toyota 22R-E Turbo Charged 4 Cylinder that was removed and rebuilt just 12K miles ago
Transmission: New Marlin Crawler W56-B manual transmission with short throw shifter kit and knobs filled with Redline MT 90
Transfer Case: Stock transfer case (High and Low Range) in great condition
Drive-Train: Aisin clutch master, braided stainless clutch master to slave hose, Aisin slave cylinder, Aisin clutch kit, and resurfaced Toyota flywheel
Tires: New Falken Wild Peak All Terrain Tires on stock 4Runner Wheels
