guess its time I started posting so I can sell parts.. ah, I mean become a valuable member of the community  :yesnod:

I recently picked up my first Toyota ever, a tan 1981 DLX Pickup! I guess I like it. At least two people each month ask if its for sale! ...its not, please don't ask.

I've just turned 37, born and raised in So. California, I currently work as a fabricator making props and sets for movies/commercials, also some prototype work. In a previous life I was a Graphic Designer. I never killed off my inner child, I love being out in nature, guns, beer... I know I'm forgetting something. ah well. hope to meet some new adventure people so I'll be motivated to get out more!

I'm living in Covina, commuting to Torrance :(, beach wise I lived briefly in Santa Barbra and HB, what beach city are you out of? Lets see, I've added in power steering and I'm half way through installing a stock A/C, today I finished welding in some rectangle tube rock sliders.. I picked up some chevy springs that I don't think I'll install, OME's on the way. My set of split rims will be back from the powder coater this week, I'm going with a set of narrow 32's. I welded up a spare set of axles with all the Marlin gussets and armor, I did my own t-case e-brake and found two spare cases for a dual to rebuild down the road... I'm excited, I love this truck!

Thanks for the welcome Slabzilla!

Nothing wrong with that Firetrap, it looks to be in great shape! my work buddy just picked up a '82 that was yellow before getting a silver coat of paint, still yellow under the hood.. I kinda wish they left it.

sorry Slabzilla, yes is was completely stock, the interior is in excellent condition! all there, the paint is original but parts were touched up with what looks like house paint (small dabs here and there), spray paint around the top rail of the bed which matches pretty well... tons of little dents and dings everywhere but in the shade or from 20' away it looks pretty darn nice.
