I have a 97 Toyota T100 4wd and want to go to a 5 speed. What do I need and can I retain my current transfer case or do I need a new one? What exactly is all needed? And I have a 3.4

Sorry... I've always read these and decided to make an account! Just tried looking all through here and I feel like this is a great topic for everyone

I'm teasing, so basically gonna need a donor truck. Will need pedal assy, master cylinder, slave cylinder, manual trans for that year, flywheel & clutch assy. Then as far as the electrical goes it's pretty easy to dummy the system unless that year you can just swap from the auto ECM to manual (meaning the electrical connectors are the same). I would try and start rounding up some parts. Pick and pull maybe your friend for the pedal assy and such. Don't know your location so don't know how readily available Toyota stuff is to you. As far as the t case goes you have options. If you eventually are going to want duals or even a single lower reduction case then you will need the v6 adapter plate for the gear driven t case. The trans model will be the R150F. Just depends on what you want to spend on the swap.

I want it to be basic. A 5 speed from the factory with a passenger side drop like my current tcase. I'm not worried about the instrument panel and I know you can trick the auto ecu into park so it always starts but can I just get the same year R150f and keep the tcase I currently have on my automatic transmission? Some guy is selling  a r150f for $200 and it came  off a 3.0 and it's the manual transmission with the transfer case bolted on still. I'm based out of Yuma,Az.
