I have a 1990 4Runner that I bought already built up. It has a 3.4 swap out of a 1996 Tacoma. The swap was done by Yota Masters in Corona, CA. When I first bought it I noticed occasionally it would not start. I would turn the key and nothing would happen, not even a click. When this does happen I will play with the ignition for a few minutes and eventually it will start. I have replaced the ignition switch twice over the last couple years. Over this last winter it has been good. The other week one day it got hot so I turned on my AC and was driving around for about 30 minutes. I pulled into a gas station to get gas and walla it would not start. I light bulb went off in my head and realized that this usually manifest in the summer when I had been using the AC.
I am concerned that something in the AC electrical system was not hooked up correctly during the engine swap and maybe it is putting some kind of load back on the ignition system. Does anyone have any ideas??
