Sorry to hear about your motorcycle being stolen, but I'm glad you're thinking about theft protection for your truck. I can start any 81-89 Hilux or 4runner of this generation with a screwdriver and ballpoint pen, so I assume that a thief can, too.
If you wanted to get all fancy, you could set it up so that when the keyed switch activates the anti-theft system, turning the ignition switch to "start" blows the horn instead of cranking the engine. Furthermore: I can bypass any keyed switch with a knife and an alligator clip if the leads are in any way accessible. You've probably already thought of that.
