Gave the Tacoma a break this week and have been hauling cars with this one. I want to play with the injection pump a little but had to be smart about it. Ordered some Hewitt pyrometer and boost gauges today. Says 2 day shipping. Maybe they will be here Tuesday and I can install them. Get the juices flowing and be able to monitor it.

Gauges arrived Sunday morning. Actual 2 day shipping. Amazing!
Made this little guy today with a spare bezel. Not sure when I'll get time to install on the truck but atleast I have it all now.

Got em in today. Used a spare bezel because the cubby hole in mine wasnt detachable. Mine is much nicer and I may come up with a way to use it later on. But for now this will have to do.

Just got off the phone with ptac Jim was very helpful and suggested that I use a 29 tooth speedometer gear. Got it on the way.

I noticed towing the boat yesterday that the brakes were a little strange. Once I got in the drive way I checked fluid. Low in the part of the master cyl. Crawled under there and BOTH of the "new" wheel cylinders are leaking. I was very upset about this seeing as they are less than 2 months old and have only 900 miles on them.

Havent gotten a proper exhaust yet. Just the flex to the rear of the cab. Any of you that have ever ran a diesel with a short larger diameter exhaust knows that droan is quite annoying. Just ordered a fte 30" resonator. Still trying to get time to pick up the over axle and out the back 4" from a friend.

Made it out today to hurricane diesel performance that my friend owns. He gave me the 4" over and out that was pulled off a f250. Gave me a great deal on a 30" jamo stainless muffler. Also gave me plenty of clamps and a piece of 4" to cut up ans make unions with. Plan to head to the muffler shop in the morning.

Just finished, on the interstate now. So quiet. Could go for a cross country ride now.

When I finished my exhaust I was little disappointed at how quiet it turned out. I was hoping to hear a little turbo whine. It does make it nice on the highway though. And I have taken it on several cross country trips.

My 98 is a straight 5" it sounds good but has gotten annoying over the years. I wanted this one to be as qiet as a church mouse. I'm also cheap so I used 2 scrap pieces and paid a friend at the muffler shop to put hangers on it with me. It was so strange towing the boat at 70 yesterday with no droan and being able to talk without yelling.

Since the last post I have made quite a few trips in this ole thing. The farthest being Knoxville Tennessee. Just at 1300 miles round trip. It does good on fuel, rides good. Looks not so good but I don't care much. I really need to order new window seals and door seals so I can strip it down and paint it.

Last night went to moms and dug an old box I built 12 years ago for my s10 out of the attic and dropped it in. Fits quite well surprisingly. Probably going with 4 skar 10s. Not sure on amplifier choice yet.

Drive shaft has 1410 u joints front ans rear but still had a cute little 1330 in the middle at the slip yoke. Needless to say a locked rear end, an engine with a little torque, and my lack of brain cells telling me to do a burnout resulted in this.

Thats been a good one. Has a 5.9 common rail in it. We pulled it at 500k and had a local machine shop rebuild it with all OEM cummins parts. She runs the roads of mobile al every day.

Got a driveshaft from an 03 f350 with 1410 joints all the way though. Gave $50 for it, need to shorten the front shaft 7" and it will be the correct length. I will leave the existing cross remember for the center bearing in place but build another one for this center bearing to bolt to. These shafts are closed to the same length rather than the old shafts which were 6' and 3'.

Digging through moms attic I found 2 polk ex 10 subs. I ran then in 2006 for a few months and never used them again. Somehow got lucky and found 2 on Ebay new in the box. They showed up yesterday. Dont know what amp I'll run yet but it will be determined.

Got the drive line back in and happy. Decided to crank on the pump a little. Found that when my cousin put the AFC delete on he bent the fulcrum arm inside the pump. Has to be completely torn down to replace so I sent it to the pump shop and had them do it as well as a full rebuild. Ordered a billet tappet cover that will be here Friday. Then all can go back together.

Had to take vacuum pump off to get lower bolt out of injection pump so took the opportunity to get rid of the 3pc leak prone pump and replace it with a new dorman unit for a 2nd generation truck.

Got on it yesterday after work. Planning to do vented valve covers from a case tractor and cap off the hoses on the tappet cover.
