Anyone running a Delco 10si one wire on their 22R? I'm tinkering with bracketry to do this but does anyone sell a mount for one? Seems I have clearance issues with the radiator hose spigot, the motor mount and the steering shaft, and there's not a lot of adjustment.
I spaced the pivot bolt out an inch or so to get some clearance, and used a stout turnbuckle with the top loop bent, bolted to the block as an adjuster;it's like one I made for my stock alternator that worked well, only beefier for the heavier alternator. Would it be worth just mounting it on the right side of the engine since there's a lot more room there? Before you ask,I'm doing this because I let a "friend" help me out by changing a bad regulator, and he shorted something, letting the magic smoke out of the alternator AND the new regulator
,so,since everything else I own already has a one wire 10si on it,I figured it'd be good to "standardize" this one about now.
Thanks in advance for your input and help on this.
