FJ master cylinder in my 85 Xtra-Cab
« on: Jan 31, 2017, 11:04:49 AM »
When I bought my Yota 3 years ago her brakes sucked so I rebuilt them completely changing out everything except the booster because it still worked but, it failed last year so I put on a used one a friend gave me and again we have booster failure.
I'm doing the FJ master cylinder upgrade and putting on a new booster.

The rotors and calipers are getting changed next for the vented rotors also just not today.

Doing the swap is about as easy a job as you can do for something so substantial as a master and booster.

I did buy an aftermarket "Centric" brand master cylinder due to cost but, I have been using Centric on a few different vehicles over the past few years with no issues and when cost matters, good enough is good enough.
