That's metal as well. I only know that because some of it got bent on an install/removal and made a horrible scrapping noise until I found it.


Search 22re balancer slip
Plenty of people have experience it.

after doing some looking it may be that the shop that built set it 180 degrees out. i read a write up where the guy had to rotate the block 2 times for the timing mark to be on 0 then he re timed it

Hope you have checked your balancer by now.
If you have and it checks out good.
The next item to check is the Idl circuit of the tps sensor. The computer will not bring the timing to base timing unless
It can see a closed throttle using the idle circuit of the tps sensor. Makes it impossible to set the timing.
