The STT pro is now available in a 40x13.50x17. I just ordered a set. There on backorder. I love those tires. Wish they still had the old tread design.

Wow that's going to be one bad ass snow tire.

Nice!! Big fan of the original STT's but the tallest they made them in was a 37". Looking forward to seeing these STT Pros on the trail in a 40" flavor  :smokin:

I'm excited, I originally planned on the old stt, I even had a brand new 37 stt as a spare and found out they didn't make that tire anymore lol. So I said screw it and went up in size. Guess I'll be trimming the rear again and firewall haha.

Not interested in the Toyo Open Country M/T?  It was very similar to the STT in tread pattern.  I know gotrocks really loved his Toyo's in the snow.

Yes I really like those tires as well. My dad is on his second set. I just really like the new STT pro and I'm getting a good deal on the tires so I went for it. I will post up pics when I get my rims and tires.

It's funny how this has become the unofficial tire discussion thread...

Nitto Terra Grappler - This is a very popular tire in my area, right behind the Toyo Open Country MT.  My biggest beef with Nitto is the "bling" of having two different sidewalls.  It's makes me think that they have placed looks too high on the list of features.  I'm sure it's a non-issue.  These tires also just look like they would ride rough even though they get solid reviews.
t.

I have these on my Tacoma and they ride nice and wear really well. I would totally get them again and contemplated getting them for my jeep. I think the BFG or STT will beat them out

So there is a guy in my town that can help me get a 30% discount at discount tire ( ill believe it when I see it), I asked him to check the STT Pro and the KM2. If available, im going STT Pro... but they dont have them on the website in 35... but they dont have the km2 on the site either. Now that I have the tires narrowed down to the two, I need to figure out the wheel I need. D window black steel wheel. Needs enough back spacing to clear a 85 solid axle with 1994 4runner calipers. It will have allpro spacers on it so that should help a little right?

I had to grind my calipers to fit a 15" wheel, 3.75BS I think.
Time to go wheelin!

I have the wheels with the holes instead of the D, 15x8 w/3.75" back spacing and 1.5" wheel spacers.  I am running V6 calipers and nothing hits.

Just curious, what size are you running and where do you buy them?

Way a life guys have done a pretty good write up on them if your interested. It looks like he was able to test them before they were actually released. All good feedback and they measure an inch larger than the toyo mt's did new. If I get them mounted today I will post a pic for sure.
