 Im sure im not the only one whos thought of this but After putting up with the stock bucket seat that had no ability to recline , I had scored a clean set 60/40 bench seat out of 97 tacoma for 40$ some one had swaped out for STI seats ,after many years of dreaming of doing this swap I finally had the chance again and it was easyas flatting out the existing mounts on the bottom and cutting the little pegs off and placing and marking you holes where you need and had little pieces of unistrut for spacers to get the correct lean on it! With the correct bolts and washers I secured it down and it's tight and makes the reg cab so much more usefull and was able to keep and utilize the middle seatbelt!

How close are the seats to the doors?  I know the 3rd gen 60/40's I installed in an '86 were damn near touching when sitting in them.  Dis you lose much leg room compared to the oem buckets?

That's the one thing I opted not to be picky about and kept it a cleaner simpler swap. on the driver side it's as close as it could get without pressing against the door but indents the original door  fur. So not the easiest with the plastic that comes on them but easy enough for me that I've left it the way it is. And passenger side has plenty of room all depends on if you plan on utilizing the bench seat factor. And for leg room I'm not big foot at 5'8 so ive got plenty of room with room for stuff behind and seat reclined against cab and could easily have some one shorter or taller drive comfortable in it. I'm supper happy my pics were to big to up load here so I got a take some smaller ones and hopefully get em up here!
