85 Xtra-Cab 22R valve adjust again, what fun.
« on: Sep 30, 2016, 11:59:29 AM »
My rig's idle has been a little floaty lately so I thought maybe the valves got tight again but, that's not it. All 4 intakes were right where I set them @ .008" but, the exhaust valves were all 4 loose as a street walking hooker even though they were all set to .012" the last time I had the valve cover open less than 3000 miles ago.  :dunno:
I set the timing after adjusting the valves and found it a bit too advanced also, it looks like I was sleeping when I did the last adjustments.
Anyway, the idle settled down and she is running smoother than silk now.
fasterspider, now older and slower.
