1st wheeling battle scars
« on: May 30, 2016, 10:21:59 AM »
I was in Hungary Valley again yesterday with friends that have much more capable rigs than mine but, they insist my rig is good enough so I trust and go where I shouldn't and had more fun looking at a dry creek bed out of my window and touching the wall/floor with my fingers while the rig was laying almost all the way over.

Crawling through that creek bed was a thrilling experience and I was only able to go that slow because of my dual T cases, thank you Marlin for making awesome stuff because my rig is properly scarred now .  :gap:

Chicks dig scars
Sorry it happened.
I believe any damage to a part that is easily replaced is no big.
Cab damage is something different. I might get quite upset.

Go get some more but be careful with no cage, toyota cabs are about as strong as a beer can

Compared to others I was wheeling with, my little scratches are nothing and I could probably work the metal smooth again but, why? Does my 31 year old toy have look pristine? Hell no, a clean Toyota pickup is not being used correctly.

I don't think you get what I was getting at.  Glad you have the right mindset about it though.

One guy yesterday broke a main leaf in his doing some practice crawling and took it with a grain of salt because it only took a few hose clamps to get him home so he could now build it even more extreme.
I would have been pissed off to no end if my new springs broke, his were not new and he was expecting it so it was just another day or wheeling for him while I learned a lot more about attitude than I did about wheeling.
I'm a happy Yota owner, no complaints from me about dinky little dents, only joyous bragging.  :driving:

New battle scars earned @ Gorman, damn it was fun.

I need to break out the angle grinder and cut away bunch of steel around the rear of the front wheel wells, the tires were jamming so badly at one point she had to be pulled out of the gulley I should not have committed to but, did saying yolo and laughing my ass off.
