What parts are you buying online?  I know there's a toyota dealer in oregon who has a lot of little parts for these and sells them on ebay.  I've purchased several oem items from them for my 1980.

I am buying parts from pretty much anywhere i can find them.  If not then i will do my best to make the part myself.  seems like a tall order but i am up for the challenge.

I love that color

Ill be honest.  I first saw this color a few years back when the first Scion XB came out.  then Scion put it on the little 2 door coupe that came out a couple years ago.  It is a factory Toyota color all the way!!

Lookin good!  I may have missed it, but what are your plans for sound deadening on the floor now?

I am using sound deadening material from a company called Black Hole.  It is really a great product and I have tested it in lots of different applications.  It works better than my original expectations.   here is a link to their site.  Please check them out when you get a chance.

First time checking out this restoration. WOW!
I Have said for years now that this would start to happen. These little trucks and 4runners are something special. I wonder if way back when they were new, if anyone would have thought that someday people would perform frame off restorations on them.  :turtle:
I predict If it has not happened yet that there will be  reproduction parts in the near future.
LMC Toyota truck and 4runner catalog? Marlin crawler restoration parts?

I see myself doing this to My own 4runner someday.

For those that have been looking for updates, well, things are taking their time.  lots of body work and cutting and welding going on.  My buddy has been working on the bed for the past few weeks and its really shaping up to be something sweet.

sorry for the delay but we are going to be back at it again very soon with lots of updates and pictures to look at.

Had to replace both rear lower bedsides.  They were hammered and full of bondo and some rust.  We found a pair of quarters off another bed that i picked up along the way but ha too much rust to try and repair.

Ill start posting some pictures of the bed progress but some of them might be a little out of order.  it has taken a long time to get it to this point.

Thanks again for all the great compliments.  This realy has been a long term project with lots of attention to detail.  Hopefully when it's done it will look as good as the image in my head.  My biggest thanks is to Greg (8T3) for the countless hours of help with body and design.
Cheers and here's to the completion!!!
