Left side battery tray mount
« on: May 12, 2016, 06:42:27 AM »
I'm looking to put a battery on the left side under the hood where the air box used to be due to snorkal. I have that free open space I'd like to utilize in a constructive manner holding down an extra AGM battery.
Does anyone know if there is a bolt in OEM style tray available or is it a futile search and I will have to custom mount a universal tray?

I cut the battery mount off a wrecked Tacoma and made it work. Its not holding a battery anymore since I moved that back to the stock location. Got a ARB compressor mounted on it now.

i bought a universal style from napa and bolted it in. Allowed me to use the factory hold down. I did have to trim the base. but was easy. 10 bucks for the tray and use your old hardware.

It's not pretty, but here's what I did... The inner fender works perfectly to hold my red top down...
