97 4Runner rolling chassis in Oregon cheaper is better
« on: May 08, 2016, 11:29:07 AM »
Looking for a 97 era 4wd 4Runner.
Seems they are lighter than the 2nd gen runners and in 97 they went up to 5000lbs towing capacity.
I have my own transmission and transfer case as well as VW TDI to install.
I do not plan on towing 5000lbs on any frequent basis but want it to be legal and insurable if I do.
Would still consider the 2nd gen, but legally you cannot tow a second gen with a second gen which kinda sucks.
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

should mention that I prefer it be WHITE or GREEN, five speed v-6 would also be great!
