So about 3 months ago I rebuilt my transmission with a minor rebuild kit because it was popping out of 1st gear and re[laced 1st with a marlin crawler shift fork and 2nd and third. I noticed that the bearing retaining plate was worn so I put it in the press to tighten it up again. Put the transmission together and it didnt pop out of gear as bad. I checked oil levels for 2000 miles and it was good. 2000 miles later I heard a whine coming from the transmission, (bearings im assuming) so I checked oil level and it was rediculously low on oil. filled it up with power punch and synthetic oil after completely flushing the system. Now the transmission pops out of first really bad like its not engaging entirely.
Do you think its a combination of the bearing retainer plate and the bearings?
Previous to this I installed a hd shifter seat and rebuilt the shifting tower studs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, Im a college student running out of options to get this thing on the road again and i just started a new job driving this thing alot.
