I have been looking for a front bumper to match my rear bumper and have had no luck. I think I got my rear bumper from Smittybuilt years ago but they no longer carry what I'm looking for. This is my first post so I can't attach a picture. I have a 1985 4Runner and the style of bumper I'm looking for is a simple two tube design with a tube that goes up around the front of the grille area, no winch plate. They were pretty common for a long time but I can't find anywhere to buy one. Any ideas? Thanks!

Or maybe a pic of one that you've seen that you like?

They were smittybuilt bumpers.

Looks like your only option is used, if you can't find a Toyota one, any of the mini truck or Cherokee bumpers should work with the Toyota, you will just have to have some mounts made.

Thanks for the replies! I got an email back from Smittybuilt and they confirmed that they are the ones that produced it. I did find a used one on craigslist that the guy said he had on a jeep. He measured the width at 60 inches but I measure about 65 inches on my 4Runner. I also found out that one of the mechanics for the company I work for has made a couple of killer bumpers for a couple of our tractors. He said he could fab one pretty easy so I may go that route. Then I could get perfect mounts too!

I forgot to give Snowtoy a big THANKS for dropping the picture on this thread. It is exactly the bumper style I'm looking for.

If the owner is willing to ship, here is one in N. CA.

Snowtoy, Thanks! I didn't have this one come up when I searched about a week ago. I'm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon and I can probably figure out a way to get it shipped up to me. I really appreciate your reply! I'll get a message off to the seller and see how it goes.
