That is perfect. That is right around when mudmaster can't make it either. I'm thinking that the weekend of the 23rd and 24th is sounding perfect. With us doing a 3 day by doing the 22th through 24th or 23rd through 25th.

Axman

you want to go during the middle of the week? whats wrong with a Fri, Sat, Sun?

Alright guys I'm proposing the following dates for the event: Friday July 22nd through Sunday July 24th

Everyone on the list please give me buy in or not ASAP so we can get these dates in the books, or start working on alternatives. I've reached out to Mitch from Marlin about borrowing a Marlin banner for the event and he got the okay. Soon as we have dates down he'll send the banner my way. I have a few campsites in mind for our current group size. I plan on doing a trip up there with my club before this event so that I can get a specific site scouted out based on what the group size is at that time. I also need to know how many people will be trailering their rigs so I can take that into account.

Rockcrawlintoy

I may be able to make that. We are planning a trip down to California around  that time but have not set dates in stone yet.

Those dates should work for me

That works for me and I'll be trailering.

If I succeed in my PNW envelope I couldn't feel all right about myself unless I drove there and back.  I just have to, it's a Toyota thing.  No offense to the trailer guys, you can wheel harder!

I will just need a tent spot and a GPS waypoint of the camp site would be ideal.

Do you need some money in advance?

The spots I have in mind are free camping. However with that comes the risk of someone else scooping them up. If we want to make a reservation at one of the surrounding campgrounds that takes reservations then I am open to that. What does everyone think?

Rockcrawlintoy

May as well do a reservation. It would suck to show up and be full

Ok ill look into our optuons and present them soon. I will say that with the reserved campgrounds you have rules, cost, and restrictions. Its definitely more fun with the free ones. I agree that it would suck to not have a spot though.

mudmaster

I've never had a problem getting a free one. If we are going to be there fairly early on Friday I don't think there will be an issue.

I haven't either however our group size could change that.

The first option for us is saw mill flats. These are individual sites however.

I think if you want this to become an "official" type of even you'll need to nail down a confirmed location and make sure there's a little room for a little last minute growth.

Unfortunately the only real group campground is kaner flats which is booked up. Naches has a ridiculous amount of camping. I don't think we would have a problem with us arriving on early Friday. Plus I will be going Thursday after work to go stake a site for us.

How many people are you thinking will come?  There are a couple group sites, I think, at the Crow Creek campground. Probably not enough space for what you are wanting though.

The area where the group we met up with the day I showed up would be a decent spot with quite a bit of room.

Yeah that spot is definitely one of the ones on my list.

Is there a certain area you want to camp?
