It will be very similar to the last day you came up. We will spend first part of the day at the rocks and then take Lilly Pond (the trail with the hill climbs) to Kaner Flats to camp.

Tell me more about the plan for Friday.  My wife and I will be lodging in the area and can probably make either day work.  I don't think two days of wheeling is an option so I'll have to make a choice.

We will be rolling out at 10 - 11 am every morning depending on how long it takes to wrangle up the troops into order.

I think we'll probably wheel on Friday and then do a leisurely trip back on Saturday. I'd rather do the long drive in the morning rather than after the wheeling.

My GF has to work so she is no go.  My friends all work Friday, I assume I'm going solo, so I may have a seat open on Friday.  Probably not Sat or Sun.  But keep in mind I am a tad green and since I've never been there before I cant guarantee I attempt all obstacles.   Ill know more once date gets closer

I tend to wheel in this area like I'm out on a Sunday drive so you'll likely not be alone.

Is your plan to head in with us on Thursday afternoon/early evening then, Jesse?

Yes, I'm putting in for my time off today. Probably going to take a 1/2 day off on Thursday too.  Thinking about being fully ready to go heading in to work that day  since your group will be rolling right past my place of work  and then I will join up then.  Or if I'm at home 3 miles down the road on same stretch of HWY, doesnt matter I'll be able to join up on the fly.

Perfect, and you are the only one from the Maple Valley crew that is able to do this? Chris and Percy have to work on Friday?  :sad2:

Yes, to my knowledge

That is a big bummer. They are really only looking at 1 day of wheeling then. All we will be doing on Sunday is taking the wagon trail home. It is only like 2-3 hours of wheeling tops.

A big bummer.  I may have to look at wheeling on Saturday instead of Friday if that's the only day Chris will be wheeling.

I was off the grid till just now.
My plan is go up Thursday night to set up tent trailer.
Come up Friday after work with 4Runner on car trailer.
Wheel Friday night night wheeling, if it happens.
Wheel all Saturday. Then spend Sunday dragging everything home ;)

SqWADoosh [04:19 PM]: *sigh* I guess Chris is right and I just need to wait until I'm in a place where I have a tow rig and trailer before I get this caliber of truck
Mudder [08:28 PM]:   not try to be a jerk, but are you serious bestgen?
Prismo [06:11 PM]:   Done, time to relax or as Bestgen says....FREEDOM!
HogCanyonHopper [06:54 PM]:   I like my little rod. it gets the job done
H8PVMNT [03:30 PM]: I can go both ways.

Been lurking for a while now and still not highly likely for me, but I need something clarified please.  Are you camping on the trails at some point?  Sounded like you were talking about being close to the rocks Saturday or Sunday night but Little Naches is quite a haul from the rocks if I remember right.

Is that down by the Little Naches camping area?

The Little Naches Campground is immediately to the left at the beginning of the road. It goes for many miles after that however. Here is a map:

http://www.google.com/maps/place/46%C2%B059'22.5%22N+121%C2%B005'46.7%22W/@46.9895956,-121.0985017,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x0!8m2!3d46.989592!4d-121.096313

It really has 3 names. When turning onto it from 410 it is "Little Naches Rd". You will see on the map there it is NF-19 for the first bit then turns into NF-70.

So we are getting very near to the trip. Who is still on for this?

I'm planning to be there for the Saturday events.

I can safely say that I am screwed for making this trip.  We have to get to Kalispell, MT for three days of weird testing for the kid immediately following the week after.  I probably even have the gas money but the timing just won't work.  On the bright side, I will probably get to scout the "Wild Bill/Blacktail Trail System" over there.  They got a grant from BFG Outstanding Trails Program some years ago and I guess it's pretty fun now.

So wheel on gentlemen.  Post pics!  I will make it over there to play eventually...

I'll be there Friday morning and riding shotgun with you.
Time to go wheelin!

SqWADoosh

Honestly if everyone else has dropped out I will probably not be going. I just went to Naches a couple weeks ago and I have precious little vacation time left.
