Finally, starting SAS
« on: Feb 07, 2004, 05:16:05 PM »
I finally got the swapping process started
the plan is to put rear spring in the front with a minimal drop front hanger, high steer, I'll put an update picture when it'll be done.  :flamer: :

Are there any write ups on SAS.  My buddy just got a 88 22re and his first major upgrade will be a SAS.  I am going to be helping all the way through and any instructions or hints will help very much

the hysteer wont work the drag link will hit the frame. all you need is crossover and a beefy tie rod

Why would the drag link on a High Steer hit the frame more then a crossover?

from what I've seen, crossover put the drag link higher then high steer, anyway i'll just see what go wrong. I have decided to go 1" drop on the hanger.

I would think that All pro would use a factory size bushing.  I just measured a factory rubber bushing, it came in at 1 3/16th's od.

got the seal kit from the stealership, it was cheaper for me, get the one from marlin if you're in the USA.
To cut the ifs I just used a bunch of sawzall and a grinder.
