Detroit Easy Locker
« on: Jan 09, 2004, 06:53:49 PM »
I bought an easy locker from a friend, but it doesn't fit in my 87 SA 4Runner.

The box say's it's for a Toyota 4 cylinder 30 spline Part #813A015.

The parts inside are numbered like this
clutch #85002, side gear #85082, spacer #85010.

I think it's for a V6. Any help would be great.

That is supposed to fit yota 79-85 8 in.  But it is also supposed to fit 87-88 4 pinion gas/turbo/diesel.  From everything I know those two are deffinately not interchangable at all. So I think tractech need some updating to their website!
Full hydro, 186:1 with an auto and 44's what could go wrong??

The diff I was trying to install it in was out of a pre 86. The side gear wouldn't fit in to the carrier. It was to big.

No it's the outside part of the easy locker, so it goes inside the carrier. It's the part of the locker that goes on the axle.

Here a breakdown.
