1970 Ford Bronco (Fresno, CA)
« on: Jan 26, 2016, 12:11:53 PM »
Terry, a local friend of ours, is selling his 1970 Ford Bronco.

Terry has owned this Bronco for approximately 30 years and is looking for someone who can really appreciate it. As you can imagine he is having a difficult time letting this truck go, but perhaps the right buyer can convince him otherwise.

Contact:
Terry Marlette -- (559) 353-0263

Location:
Fresno, CA

Asking Price:
$8,000

Specs as written from Terry:

  • New process 435 truck transmission from 1/2 ton truck
  • Power steering unit from 1986-7 bronco high ratio steering
  • New in box 3" suspension lift Leaf Springs / progressive front springs and shocks
  • 351 Windsor / low end cam out of a 1976 Grand Torino but I put a 1969 crankshaft in it with the oil sling ring near the rear main seal (extremely strong motor)
  • Extra Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor
  • 4 core radiator offset staggered tube
  • Rear Diff - Ford 9" with 5.13:1 gears with Detroit locker
  • Front Diff - Dana 30 with 4.56:1 gears and a limited slip extra ring for aggressive slipping.
  • 35 in BF Goodrich all terrain tires
  • 1 new rocker panel to replace driver side damage
  • Diamond plate side panels
  • Couple extra axles
  • Got receipts on most stuff I put into it
  • 2 tanks as usual 11.5 and 14.5 gallon I believe
  • Think it's a 3" roll bar
  • Wheeled it for many, many years on the trails near Shaver Lake, been through Dusy/Ershim many times without any trouble

At the moment Terry does not have a forum account and is unable to reply to any questions here. Please call him even just to ask very basic questions, he is a very nice, polite guy; easy to talk with. From what I've gathered in talking with Terry, he would like to get it running again but doesn't have the time anymore. Having owned it for so long, he appreciates it too much for it to continue to sit when there might be someone out there who knows what it's worth and can keep it in service for many years to come. Because he is struggling to find motivation for it, he'd be happy to find someone who can.

I don't have any other info on the truck other than the above from Terry. I have not seen the truck myself but it is here in town and he'd be happy to show you it, just give him a call. Here come some pics!
