New guy with an 84 extended cab
« on: Mar 19, 2015, 03:24:08 PM »
Hello everyone! I recently purchased an 84 extended cab that is pretty clean. I plan on building a respectable street worthy trail rig to get out and enjoy. I have been reading so much on the board and have much to learn. Just picked up a set of 63's and the ideal 63 kit from ruff stuff, upper and lower shock mounts, extended perches and an energy suspension poly cab mount kit. I will be starting a build thread when parts start showing up.  This is my first pickup and I'm very excited to get started.

If you don't need the capacity, shorten the bed about a foot and you'll love the results off road. I cut 13 inches out of my 85 and never bothered to run a bumper.  I hardly ever touched in the back.
