Please help me break in my W59 transmission

My transmission is installed but im having a hard time finding mineral gear oil. I have 2 gal of 80W-90 standard gear oil I am wondering if I could use this to break in the transmission. I want to do this properly I just need some directions on what to do. Please help. Thanks
