Hey all,
So over the year's I've bought more than a few "broken" AISIN hubs that were being sold for parts. More often than not, it was just because someone didn't get the assembly right between the clutch, small spring, and pawl. It's an easy fix, but not necessarily intuitive. The problem is, if you don't get the assembly right, and then put the hub back in it will lock the first time you turn the dial, but then not unlock because the clutch and pawl come apart - the pawl retracts with the dial cam and the clutch stays engaged on the inner hub.
Any way a while ago I looked around on YouTube and found that most of (if not all) the hub disassembly / reassembly video just glossed over that very important assembly of the clutch/spring/pawl or were missing it all together. So I sat down and made a VERY detailed video on the subject. (close-ups, graphics, etc.)
Check it out and pass it on if you know someone that needs it. (Video is a touch long, but very newb mechanic friendly.)
