Reputable shop in or near Fremont, CA
« on: Dec 09, 2013, 05:24:21 PM »
My parents have a 99 Honda Civic EX that needs an engine rebuild. Does anyone know anyone they trust in or around Fremont, CA? Of course, trying to keep it on the cheap, but they need the engine rebuilt, professionally.

Basically, drop the car off, and come pick it up when it is done.

no. it has to be rebuilt..... there is a major gamble with the used from wherever import engines

this engine needs to pass CA smog, and who knows what kid of life the used engine led?

Time to revisit this......

Would prefer a rebuilt and not just a swap in... It does need to be done by a shop that is hopefully cheap, but quality is more important..... If there is a problem I want to be able to take it back there and have them fix it. I would prefer it to be a rebuilt motor for longevity.

Does need to pass the strict CA Smog requirements

motor is a 1.6L SOHC VTEC B16Y8
