The New Guy
« on: Dec 30, 2003, 08:40:46 AM »
It looks like the proper thing to do is let everyone know about my ride.  I have a 1985 P/U Carb with a 4.5" Superlift, 4.88 gears with Detroit rear and Trutrac front, 33" BFG Muds on 10" black Rockcrawler wheels, Marlin 4.7 T-case, Weber Carb, and the bed shortened 13".  I have a Marlin twin stick on the counter at home and I plan to get bumpers, rocker guards, and AOR Orbit Eye rear springs in the future.  Picture are on rockcrawler.com under Black Diamond.  I need some part for my upcoming Moab trip: birfield w/ short side axle, rear axle, and a hub.
1989 4Runner: Dual Ultimate (Inchworm front & Marlin 4.70 rear), Marlin Twin Stick, 1200-lb clutch, 4.88 R&P, Aussie Front, Detroit rear, 30-spline Longs, Long hub gears, ARP hub and knuckle studs & 35x12.50 Cooper STT PRO tires.  Marlin rear bumper & sliders.  FROR front bumper.  SAS with Alcan springs & Rancho 9000XL shocks.  Budbuilt Bolt-on traction bar.  Custom Interior Cage by Those Guys Rod and Customs.

Hows that superlift treating you? I have had mine for about a year and the rear is already sagging.

I realize that this reply is way past due, but my Superlift springs seem to be OK.  I am generally happy with the front springs, but I am looking to replace the rears since they have zero flex and ride horribly.  How tall is/was your Superlift and how did it compare in ride height to other lift companies?   :sleepy:
