Topic: High idle all the time??

I have an 83 Toyota pickup but I have a newer drive train in it.  currently 22r-e with the 5speed tranny and a transfer case from a 88 4 runner.  what causes the idle to never drop it will idle around 12oo rpms all the time hot or cold winter or summer does not matter?

Check the air control valve.

It's under the intake manifold.

It may be stuck open, or the wiring is disconnected/broken.

ok will try and look tomorrow, so kindof up under the throttle body then in that area?  I have had the throttle position sensor switched out( think that is what it is called at least).
