Hwy 80 Vs Hwy 50 to tahoe
« on: Sep 13, 2013, 11:41:49 AM »
Ive always been curious, which is the easier tow? I went up 50 with my brothers duramax to the tahoe side of the con and and came down 80, but now i have a tundra, so which will be easier to tow up and down?
opinions welcome

I've towed my crawler up & down both ways with my 07 tundra and haven't had a problem. The 50 has more turns and a steeper drop in elevation going into Tahoe (from Sac), but nothing too bad. I just use my gears to control speed on the downhills. IIRC 80 is more gradual in elevation change.

80 is easier and its closer to the tahoe side of the rubicon.
