New Guy from Southern Missouri
« on: Jun 12, 2013, 05:48:44 PM »
Don't have a crawler yet but hope to remedy that one day. I did have an 1980 Toy 4 x 4 with 10 hundred Gumbo Mudders and a 1971 short wheel base Ford 4 x 4 with a three inch body lift and 900 x 16 Gumbo Monster Mudders I don't remember how much suspension lift it had. It also had a 4 speed granny low tranny. I live in South central  Missouri and am retired from the Air force (23 years). Married with two kids, a son 15 and a daughter 20 in College at Southwestern University in Georgetown. I have a 1981 Toyota Pickup (2 x 4) and a 2008 Toyota Access Cab (2 x 4) and a 2009 Toyota Camry but my Wife won't let me get that dirty.

My great grandfather was a bootlegger in Missouri (Missoura?).

He even sold to the preacher.  Got a little frisky with the guys wife too I believe.  My great grandmother drank a double whiskey before every meal and one before bed till 98 years old.

In her last years she reveiled she was an in country spy for the FBI during the Cold War.  Gotta love Granny.  Think of Granny like in Josey Wales...Ha

I lived on the Central Coast for about six years

 Wainiha

Cool story about your Granny. The character from Beverly Hillbillies comes to mind.

My grandparents lived in SLO, my mom attended SLO High School and I am a Cal Poly alum Class of '80. Good times. Where were you on the coast and when?
