Hello, My rig is a 97' 4runner 3.4 5 speed. acquired a used Detroit style locker that was out of a 80's 4 cyl diff/carrier. Went to install it and realized after pulling the hog out that the v6 diff's have a different carrier and bearings so i could not put the locker into my hog. So now my issue. Getting my hands on a 4 cyl hog probably wont be an issue but i did the math on my diff and realized that i have a 3:90 gear set. Now assuming that i wont be able to find a 3:90 gear set out of a old 4 cyl very easily , i am wondering if the crown gears are interchangeable between the 2 styles of differential, If they are then i could just slap my crown on too whichever 4cyll hog i find and keep my gears the same, don't really want to run 3:90's front 4:10's back. Help would be appreciated! i want too get wheeling
