Topic: Yall got any idea?

I get a pretty good little shimmy in my steering wheel when driving over 45mph. My Dad is pretty convinced i need to go back in and rebuild the front axle....im pretty effin convinced he's just wantin to spend my money so he has somethin to do. i think it could be fixed if i just got the tires balanced. What do yall think? Is there even a possibility that rebuilding my front axle including the diff would fix that? like i just cant wrap my head around how that could be a source of the problem?

And whats your tire and wheel combo and was that the combo you ran before the work began?

Could be bad wheel bearings, TRE, trunion bearings, bad shock, loose wheel nuts, loose steering knuckle, prob a balance issue. THats the first thing is check all nuts and bolts real fast and try putting the front tires on the read and check, or get the tires rebalanced after that

Tires are 33x12.50x15 wild country mt on 15x9 old steel toyota wheels i think. It was way worse before the rebuild. He says its the trunion bearing i just didnt know if he was lookin for something to do or if he was serious about it. I appreciate it though yall!!
