EGR removal *without fighting about it*
« on: Dec 01, 2012, 01:47:06 PM »
So every EGR thread and removal thread I've found has had very minimal information, and a lot of yelling about who is right... simply put, I'd like an example of how you removed your EGR valve with a blockoff plate or something, and what you did with the vacuum lines.
*I DONT CARE* what you think about efficiency, power, or miles per gallon. Or why I'm ignorant for doing this... the world just needs a simple, unbiased example of removing the EGR system. If you have a link to one (I've been looking for days) or any pictures I think everyone would appreciate it.

I'm trying to get rid of all of the California smog equipment. It has 234k on it, and had the head gasket done about 6 months ago but it needs a seeeeeerious rebuild. So I'm using it as a DD and slowly fixing little things until it is how I like it, then it will be quicker and easier to tear down and rebuild if I don't have to do any of that fabbing and guess work . I can just crank it out
