I'm not sure how much you're willing to spent on a camshaft. I do know Melling makes a stock spec for 22re motor and a buddy of mine installed one last year after having issue with his OE one and ran fine. Melling part number is #TSC-1 and sells for about 100buck at most local part stores.

TRD stage 1 is very good from those who used them I heard. Only downfall, TRD stop selling the camshaft. I'd searched and found out the Crane Cam is the manufacture of all 3 stage TRD camshaft. For the Crane Cam part #704-0010 is identical grind to TRD level 1 spec and is still available to order online, sells for about 215ish.

Friends I know with 22rte and 22re who used both the Crane Cam 704-0010 and DOA C270 camshaft say DOA is 3x better with more torque and power.
DOA price is 185. I spoke with Tim at DOA and these cam are new CWC blank and DOA grind them to their spec.

DOA site: http://www.doaracingengines.com/page1/page1.html     (NOTE: DOA site might be down due to update)

LC also sell camshaft as well but not much feedback on their. I read somewhere that LC sell repackage WEB camshaft, but I can't for sure prove this. Hope this help...

Here is a comparaison chart I found useful on cam spec.

from the research of doa,  they havent paid for the domain and there suspending it , ive looked into putneys 22re performance and he grinds cams, but 100 is not bad for melling  as long as it will hold its shape for a couple hundred thousand

Melling works fine for stock. He got roughly 25k miles on his beater and I mean a real beater and still going.

yeah I think I am going putneys cam its a oem re grind 125 with 40 core,  cheaper than comp and crane and custom ground to my application, i found a melling for 86 at auto zone but the guy at deltacams confirmed that new cams are made different than oem and suggested i either re grind my stock or get a re ground oem unit, so off to 22reperformance.com  thanks for all the helpful info cheers
