« on: Apr 05, 2005, 11:34:07 AM »
hello all i have a 1986 toyota truck that i am putting a 1994 4.3 vortec swap into. i am wondering exactly what fuel pump to run. i have heard various models from people, but i am looking for an exact part number i can take to napa/summit/jegs whatever. i have been told about $100 for the pump just not sure which one. also i am wondering what fittings the fuel lines are so i can have some made. thanks in advance.

Is the engine in the truck already?

I havent messed with the fuel lines yet, but I did have the toyota fuel tank modified to house the chevy intank fuel pump. Now that its in there, I will use the chevy fuel lines, and re bend them, and tweek them to fit in the toyota. This leaves the whole fuel system stock.

my motor was from a '93 S10 blaser, I just went in and asked for the fuel pump for that truck. My '90 4runner already had an in tank pump, and it was easy to modify the mount for the new pump. On your '80 it might be easier to do an in line pump though, since it didn't have a pump in the tank originally.
Is your motor CPI or throttle body?
