Topic: KOH coilovers emulsion vs reservoir

So for many of you who don't know I'm currently building a Tacoma with the intentions of racing stock mod class at the king of the hammers next year. I'm gonna go with a 2.0 coilover and I was wondering if a reservoir would make THAT big of a difference? What do you guys think? Would a 2.0 emulsion last the whole race without fading? I'm going 14" FOA fwiw

More volume will take more time to heat.... I look at what racers use and copy that to the best of my ability.

But I thought that reservoir only separate the oil from the nitrogen or whatever. It doesn't hold any more oil I thought.

Makes a HUGE difference.  The reservoir keeps the oil and nitrogen separate via a floating piston in the reservoir. With Emulsion the nitrogen and oil is in the same chamber. As the air heats up and bubbles form, it causes the oil to do so too, which completely kills what the valving is trying to do. If you keep the nitrogen separate from the oil the nitrogen wont bubble and wont emulsify. Its the emulsifying or bubbling that kills the shock.
