Print out the installation instuctions and go for it.   Its a good idea to do it yourself.  Find someone who has done it before and have them help you

I'd suggest just doing it yourself. It's not that difficult, I did it in 2 days by myself with only the instructions and I'd never opened a transfer case before.

its actually very simple About as hard as taking a xbox apart, or fixing a broken laptop screen.

x2 on you should do it yourself to learn how its done, its actually less parts and steps then taking apart a front axle, which if you dont knoe how to do, is going to piss ALOT of people off on the trail

I did mine and had never done it before.

Two suggestion.

Buy the pliers from marlin. Well worth it. Those snap rings are a pain without.

Go to trail gears site and use their instruction. Much better!!!

dingman nailed it learn to work on your rig or you will be up the creek without ... it is not difficult, most of the time stuff will only go back together only one way. jump in and do it if it doesn't work no big pull it out and take it to someone.

I'd recommend these too, they help a lot. Just an fyi I bought mine at sears for about $10 less.

Bottom of the first post says Fresno area. By the number of members on this board that live in that area there has to be some that would help out.
