My buddy has an 81 pickup with the 20r and the carb needs rebuilt. I was wonderin what rebuild kit yall would use. I used the GP Sorenson kit from AutoZone for my 22r. Not the best one I think because I already had to replace the AAC with a TOYOTA one. I have heard that the Jap kits work a helluva lot better than the American made ones. Anyone know about a difference or what they might prefer over any other?

I got a kit from Napa and ordered a brass float with it. I think it was from Japan. It was complete and it works good.

I also got a 20r kit from nappa but it didnt come witg enough to completly rebuild my carb

What did you pay for a kit vs. going to a Weber?

Kit from napa was like 35 no clue on the webber but as i said i didnt have enough internal gaskets to replace everything. Mabye my kit jus got shorted. But they do come with a full exploded diagram of botg carb models so thats a plus
