1986 22RE HEAD REPLACED, WEIRD SPRINGS
« on: May 21, 2012, 11:12:15 AM »
I replaced the head on my 86 toy with a 22RE, took a while to get it to start, finally got it to run, bit the exhaust fumes were really toxic, and I couldn't get it to idle on its own under 2000 rpm, played with the timing, rechecked timing chain marks, finally got it to idle around 750rpm, but when I used the throttle it just bogged down, then I noticed the exhaust maifold turning red so I shut it down, I looked and looked for vacume leaks and anything I might not have.plugged in, while looking around I found these 2 springs on the ground under my truck, was wondering if anyone knew what the might go to, I really need to get this truck running!!
Thanks

never mind, found what they go to, when I removed the PCV, it kinda exploded.. :smack:
I don't think that would cause my other problems.....  :dunno:
