Topic: 94 22re intake swap on to 87 efi motor. now wont run

I have a 94 22re truck. Had a bad head gasket so I swaped in a 87 motor but used the 94 intake cause of diffrent harness swa went nice but now wont run every thing is hooked up the same and was running yester day. Pressure on dash goes up half way just from cranking motor over so I asume it has enough compression to run. Any ideas

Just checked compression #1 had 20 #2 had 0 #3 had 30 and I dient even check 4 I pured a little oil in each cylinder hoping it bring back some compression but no luck motor had been sitting for years who knows im getting sick of buying junk motors

Short of a typical rebuild, i have installed re-ring kits that run as little as $125 on ebay for some customers that have run low on funding. Just an option. Good Luck!

the 87 motor had sat for a few years before you put in in the truck?
