dana 44 high steer???
« on: Dec 22, 2011, 06:57:26 PM »
hi everyone, i have an 86 4runner sas with a dana 44 axle. it currently has low steer. i want to do an hydro assist system and convert to high steer at the same time. looking at the driver side, it looks like the placement of the tie rod above the leaf spring will contact the pitman arm during suspension up travel. has anyone done this combo of axle/vehicle with success? i am ready to order steering arms but based on measurements, it looks like an interference issue. any opinions and ideas will be greatly appreciated. thanks to all who can help me!!! :beerchug:

You gotta put that box as far forward as you can, some cutting required.   :flamer:  Search Pirate
