« on: Dec 04, 2004, 06:17:24 PM »
I PURCHASED AN 89 ISUZU AMIGO 2.6 , 5 SP TRANS FOR $300.00 THAT I WOULD LIKE TO FIX TO CRAWL FOR MY SON . I HAVE READ OF TOYOTA TRANS SWAPS AND WOULD LIKE TO KNOW IF IT IS FEASABLE FOR ME TO DO. I HAVE ACCESS TO TOYOTA TRANS AND TRANSFER CASES AND SINCE THE LOWER GEARS ARE AVALIABLE FOR THE TOYOTA WOULD LIKE TO INVESTIGATE THIS ROUTE. IF IT IS POSSIBLE WHAT PATRS DO I NEED TO LOOK FOR.

Gearwell Industries made a few prototype adapters for the 2.6L Isuzu to a Toyota trans......I don't have any idea if they still do this.  It was at least 7 years ago.

HTH,
Sean
