22re from a 91 p/u
« on: Oct 05, 2011, 08:12:33 PM »
Ok guys, and gals. Pops has a 22re he wants to sell. It is out of a 91 pickup. Bought it in AZ with a rolled truck in hopes to swap it for his 22r but he ended up buying a 4runner. Ok so here it is

22RE out of a 91 p/u. The motor has about 110K on it. I have never seen it run nor have I had it apart. I bought the whole truck for Dad after it was rolled.

The crank will turn

Included all the wiring, ECU manual, PS pump etc. No A/C pump

BAD-
Missing the throttle cable holder on the intake manifold (robbed for another project)
The the connector  to the Mass Air flow sensor was shattered in the roll so you will have to find another and sort out the wires.
I believe that this is the first year where the wiring is different so it is not a straight swap for pre 91, some wiring to be sorted out. You can confirm or deny that.
Thats about it I believe.

Located in Laguna Hills, CA

PM's me only please.

He wants it gone for $400 probably entertain offers. Possible trade for some good shocks and/or springs, and/or seats for an 85 4runner. He needs to smooth out the rear end and get more comfy seats for his back issues.

i actually have 2 of them. 1 from a 91 manual p/u and the other from an 87 auto 4runner. both 22re's the 87 is in pieces cause it needs a rebuild probably. Head gasket blew not sure how good the bottom end is, the 91 ran before it was rolled. It is missing a throttle cable holder. Both ecu's and wiring harnesses.
He really wants to get rid of them. Probably let them go cheap

Pm'd. I have someone who might be interested in one of the harnesses. I'll have to take inventory.

Update, the 91 harness is complete with the ECU. It is missing a distributor cap and rotor and a throttle cable holder on the intake. That is it. Have had a few people interested in parts. I'd prefer to keep it all together.
It is going to be very hard for me to move it out of Laguna Hills, so pickup in Laguna will be best
I also have an 85 22re that blew a head gasket, it has an ECU from an 87 auto and an incomplete harness (missing 1 fuel injector connector). That motor has the intake manifold off. Might be seized, so could use a rebuild.

Will let the motor go for cheap, $150. With harness and ECU

Price drop $300 for the 91 complete. Feel free to do whatever testing you want on it. It is out of the truck on the floor.
