I made a bracket and mounted it on top of the fender well.  Looking back, that was actually the most difficult part of doing the conversion, but not because of inability to mount, but the tube that goes between the regulator/vaporizer and the carb that was supplied was too short, therefore limiting where I could mount it.  I should have purchased a longer tube and I would not have had any problems.

As far as removing the tanks go, I have a custom bed and a mounted the tanks in such a way that they can be filled while still mounted on the truck.

Once again, see the sig.

There's a picture of the original setup, which is pretty close to the way it is now, just shifted and rotated slightly.  In the position shown in the picture I couldn't mount the filter, so I slid the regulator and mount closer to the firewall and rotated the regulator 180*.

Forgive the nastiness that is the old emissions crap, all that has since been removed (propane doesn't need it and no smog in AL   )

I think the instructions call for you to crimp some threads on the old gas carb idle screw.  I like that idea, so i just adjusted it to where I needed with blue locktite.

As for my bracket, I just used some 1"x1/8" flat bar.  Also, if I remember correctly, I wound up not even drilling new holes, I drilled the holes in my bracket to match some holes that were already there and left over from where I removed some emissions crap.
