Duel Ultimate Puking oil
« on: Feb 16, 2005, 06:12:53 PM »
I just installed my duel ultimate, setup from Marlins shop. 2.28 in the front 4.7 in the rear. I was taking it on her first drive after install and the adapter is leaking from two machined and threaded holes about midway up the adapter plate.   The holes look like they come from the inside of the adapter out....any ideas what this may be??? I did not install the setup, it came complete from the shop. Im guessing there are some missing bolts or something???   I will try and post pics later tonight. It looks like some holes were machined on accident, but not too sure. Nobody around where I live has one of these

Hey man, I have the same setup as you but it's the older MC05. I checked mine and did'nt notice any machined holes like yours. Try posting or moving this thread to the Customer Service section or give the shop a call and refer them to these pictures. It looks suspicous but then I now very little about anything except

thanks for the help guys! took it to marlins shop  and they hooked me up with a new adapter. Im guessing the holes did not belong there?? All I know is the new one works fine and this dual case idea is freakin awesome!  My jeep freinds are quite envious

Ya, don't know whats up with those holes, but they don't belong there. Someone at the machine shop screwed up.

Come on FB, those holes are the bolt holes for the updated 4-point double roller bearing retention system that is exclusive on the MC07, 08, and 09 adapters. Im sure someone just forgot to use loctite on the adapter.
