Parts for sale??
« on: Feb 08, 2005, 06:18:19 PM »
Is it just me or does it seem that there are a lot of complete parts for sale here. I think I would want to know the story behind the availablity of these parts before I would buy anything.

As long as it is someone who frequents the board, no problem.
But, if we see one person selling the same parts over and over again, might want to think twice.

Just think it would kinda ironic if you could buy your truck back one piece at a time.

That's just it how could you know if the parts are hot or not? I will have all the major parts in my project marked so if they turn up missing they can be singled out. Not to say someone will look for Toy parts in a Heep, but there are a lot of people reading these posts too.     I have been robbed a couple times before, more times than I care to remmember and If I catch anyone messin with my ride they will get their :kickbutt:  :bash:

Don't take offense, we arent accusing anyone. the people on this board dont want anything to do with the stolen trucks, unless it entails getting them back to their rightful owners.  We arent trying to piss anyone off, but we want to know where the parts came from, so we know we arent helping the theives.

They should be drug out and shot, and I know a lot of people feel the same way, I know I would if my truck disappeared.

Just wanted everyone to know that I have seen a large increase in Toyota 4x4s in and around Moses Lake.  Even saw a decent runner on a trailer.  This has been over the last month.  Maybe check out the sand dunes over a holiday weekend if you want to see your rig again.   :crossed: :twocents:

See how this has everybody on edge. You most likley wont see these trucks again. The best thing we can do is to protect our rigs any way we can and just keep an eye out for anyone scoping out your truck. If you see anything suspicus take their picture and I bet they will leave you alone.

or just beat the truck, then they will avoid it.  Buddy whos dad is a cop said theives stay away from uniquely painted vehicles, cause they try to drive them a good distance, and there is no telling when they will be discovered missing.  They will try to avoid something that draws attention, like camo or bright colors or multi colors :dunno:

mine will be in my 3-bay shop, doors shut, a horse that's not broke that has it's pen right inside and outside ( takes up one bay ), and a 200 lb. Chow/Husky mix named NUKE ( short for Chinook ) will OBVIOUSLY wake me up, and if I wake up, it's NOT going to be pretty, even though no guns with the 5 y/o in the room ( 20 lb. Axe works wonders, though )
