Mini/FJ60 High Steer Arms for Hydro
« on: Feb 25, 2011, 10:41:26 AM »
All,

I have a set of high steer arms for sale. They are cast and i dont know who made them. Bought them off the board about year ago, but sold my FJ60 3 weeks ago and am going to a full size 4x4. The are drilled 3/4" and are made for full hydro.

Fit Mini trucks and FJ60.

Hydro or custom setup, i was going to use these as the base for my Spring Under steering to replace my decrepit FJ60 stock steering. I was going to use high angle rod ends:

and put my cross bar under and steering link on top. dont know if it would have worked with angles and all, but it seems logical.

technically, if you wanted to, you could set up your steering like an fj60 has it?

you could run the drag link to a factoy fj60 tie rod end with a shorter then normal tie rod
Sand, what fun, drop pressure to 12psi, stock tires are still digging, can't afford to get stuck, 8psi, still not working. Find a place to GET OUT, air up, un-lock hubs,  WAIT whats this, hubs are UN-LOCKED already. 2wd, 8psi, stock tires, Oregon sand dunes.

Um, should be? the look like a high steer type setup, BUT, you know I was thinking? do they still have the stock taper in the ends?

I take it you are going to make your own steering rods?

heres the factory setup but dont know the link works...

almost looks like it would put your drag link BEHIND your tie rod, could be a blessing, could be a major problem?

Yeah, it is drilled straight through 3/4" no taper. Like i said, i thought it would work for the SUA on my 60, but never got to test it.
