79-83 tilt column
« on: Jan 08, 2011, 06:08:29 PM »
Have a complete tilt column in nice shape, with all plastics, plugs, shaft, key etc. Can get pictures tomorrow. Been holding onto it for a while, dug it out of storage to sell and he backed out. So now its on the shop floor. Want it gone, $120 OBO? Not sure whats reasonable. Located in Windsor CA.

Anyway you would just sell the turn signal/hazard switch that goes on the side?? I would get the whole thing from you but I am afraid shipping would not be fun for either of us. Thanks.

I would like to just sell it as a complete unit. I don't want to stuff ti back into storage. I got an ididit column for the project so now I have no use for this one. Where are you located? I was quoted less than $30 to ship to Washington.

$100?

I also would prefer to keep the steering wheel.

Located in Oklahoma, 74953. Shoot me a price shipped and I will see. Also, what year is it out of?? It looks a little different where it bolts to the fire wall than mine. I think my column has 3 12mm bolts and that one looks like it may have 4 bolts?? Thanks.

It came specifically out of an 81 2WD truck I bought for parts. It was 3 bolts, 2 on top one centered in the bottom. I thought they where all the same, but I can take a detailed picture tomorrow to be sure if you like. UPS says $31 to ship, so $131 to your door?

I really dont think I can swing that being the only thing I need is the turn signal switch part. I will just live without turn signals for a while longer.

Do the turn signal pieces have to be off of a tilt column? I have another non tilt column.

I think they do. When I checked on the switch at Oreillys they asked if it had tilt or not. I guess maybe the wires are a little longer or routed differently I dont know.
